Bryan & Alison Fletcher's ex Army Traveller
(40FJ50) before restoration
It was a BAOR vehicle operated by one of the
Transport and Movement Regiments of the Royal Corps of Transport. These were used
by the various Mobile Civilian Groups (in this case 431 Mobile
Civilian Labour Group). Much routine transportation is carried out
by indigenous civilians of the Civilian Works Groups. These
workers play an important role in the peacetime running of BAOR.
It has been stored for 16 years in its original state, never
having been registered for civilian use in this country! Note the
Union Jack and Army number chalked on the bonnet.
